We are using project postcards for each of the four fieldsites. In Hull and Hackney we produced two versions. One introduced the project and invited people to participate in the research while the other collected data from interested people at specific cycling events. In Hull we distributed cards at the Lord Mayor's Parade and in Hackney Rachel joined in a Bike Breakfast run by Hackney Cyclists in London Fields.
We have been leaving postcards in bike shops, tagging parked bikes and generally giving them to cyclists we pass on our daily wanderings. This technique seemed to work well. We received 150 completed cards at the Hull parade and 200 at the Hackney breakfast.
